Youth Conservatory
A Midsummer's Night Dream

Age: 8-14

Spring would not be the same without the magic of “Puck”, loves torn apart and the hilarious philandering of the “rude mechanicals” who perform so very badly for the wedding of the king and the queen.

Dates: April 6th, 2021 – June 15th, 2021 (No Class 4/13)

Based on the classic tale by Beatrix Potter with Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and the curious Peter. We’ll add a few songs to this favorite classic for even more fun!

Performance: March 3rd at 3:30pm

Join us for acting games, drama exercises, and a performance of Star Wars, A New Hope and The Force Awakens. Join Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Rey, Finn, and the real forces as they battle the Dark Side and save the galaxy – twice. Concludes with a performance for families and friends, but may be through video if safety conditions do not allow for in-person gatherings.

The Day the Crayons Quit

Working with the book, The Day the Crayons Quit, we’ll explore the fundamentals necessary to create character. Students will be assigned one character and asked to use the text in order to build the character of their crayon and how the text can support their choices. Through scene study and independent work, students will have the tools in order to make strong character choices for the stage.

Greek Myths
Cost: $375
Age: 8-15
Dates: September 21st – November 4th
Time: 3:30pm – 5:30pm | Mondays & Wednesdays
Performance: November 2nd and 4th at 3:30pm
This is the action-packed story of young Perseus, son of Zeus, and his mortal mother Danae. Perseus grows up valiantly saving his mother from being eaten by a sea monster, with time left over to kill the snake-headed Medusa. This kind of drama will keep students on their mythological toes!
