Stone Soup Theatre's Assembly programs bring us to the ancient land of the Greeks: From Artemis to Zeus, where the Gods and Goddesses walk among, nymphs, Impulsive Kings and not so smart giants. Stone Soup Artists will perform in classic Greek masks (ornus), donning stilts (cothurnus). The characters appear larger than life as the invaluable lessons passed down in mythology enlighten and energize, in a journey that celebrates favorite myths while teaching many important life lessons.
Students get another chance to enjoy larger than life Greek Myths complete with 5 masked actors recreating Morality, Heroic, & Creation Myths from Artemis to Zeus. Let’s find out how Echo got her name, how tricksters like Sisyphus, will learn to pay the price of dishonesty, and how the Goddess of the night, Selene, had to be careful what she wished for.
Study Materials & Mythical origins available upon request.
