Lion, Witch, Wardrobe

During WWII 4 children were sent to live with another family member. It was there little Lucy discovered the magic of the wardrobe. She brought her brothers and sister along into this wonderful world of Narnia. Your young actors will get to act out the story in Lion, Witch, Wardrobe and be wonderful and amazing creatures, or fight with the Ice Queen for control of all the land.

Creative Story Drama: Creative Story Drama: New readers will find new ways of enjoying and sharing their favorite stories. Students will play theater games that will help them learn the basics of theater and acting while increasing their listening skills, confidence, concentration skills and ability to work together. We will chose different children's stories and lift them off the page using our bodies and imaginations. Students who take this class find a new motivation for reading while playing and having fun.

Children in 2nd-5th will learn theatre skills through rehearsing and performing our adaptation of Greek Myths with Perseus. Our plays are written to allow every child a chance to shine and are directed by exceptional teaching artists. The class will conclude with a performance (complete with costumes) on the final day of class which is open to family and friends.The action packed story of young Perseus, son of Zeus and his mortal mother Danae. He grows up valiantly as he saves his mother's honor, the beautiful Andromeda from being eaten by a sea monster, with time left over to kill the snake-headed Medusa. This kind of drama will keep campers on their mythological toes!
